Es cierto que algunos de los que llevan la epíteto de "evangélico" a menudo encajan en el arquetipo negativo que ha llegado a estar asociado con el término. Y con demasiada frecuencia, voces que dicen hablar en nombre de todos los evangélicos difunden un mensaje que se parece menos al de Nazareno y más al de un widget político o una cruzada cultural.
